About Our School
The Falcons Pre-Preparatory School for Boys, is a non-selective, independent school for boys aged 3-7, based in the Grove Park area of Chiswick, West London.
The school, formerly Falkner House Boys, was founded in 1956 and at that time located in Notting Hill. In September 1989 the school transferred to its present site in Burnaby Gardens, changing its name to The Falcons. It is the founding member of the three schools in the Falcons Group, part of the Alpha Plus Group, one of the UK’s most successful educational organisations. The Falcons School for Girls, located in Gunnersbury Avenue was acquired in 2001, and the Falcons Preparatory School for Boys in Richmond, catering for boys aged 7-13, opened in September 2008.
I am delighted that we can now offer continuous quality education for boys without the stresses of examinations at 7+ or 8+, right through from Nursery level to Year 8. Entry from the Pre-Prep to the Prep School is automatic, subject only to a registration fee and an assessment for setting purposes in English and Maths. However, for those parents who wish to look to other preparatory schools, we continue to prepare our students as necessary for external 7+ examinations. Our guiding principle is that we will support and help our boys to make the move on to their next school at whatever point is most appropriate for the individual child.
The highly qualified and dedicated teaching staff work towards the common aims of fostering a caring and productive teaching environment; developing a love of learning, a strong sense of community and the ability to make judgments between right and wrong; and sending our students on to the next stage of their education with the confidence to succeed.
