Nursery (3-4 years old)

Our Nursery, staffed by qualified teachers, is a well established and exciting learning environment with a warm ‘family atmosphere'. It has earned an excellent reputation for providing a fun, challenging and nurturing experience for its pupils. The happy boys, parents and school inspectors are testimony to its success.

 
Curriculum
We follow The D.F.E.E. Foundation Stage Curriculum. This is designed to offer a seamless curriculum right through to the end of the Reception Year and beginning of Key Stage One. The Foundation Stage focuses on six areas of a child's development and learning, and each area has clear objectives and recognised ‘landmarks' which the children reach as they progress through the curriculum at their own pace. These same targets are built upon and consolidated in the Reception Class the following year. The curriculum is designed to equip your son with the necessary skills, knowledge and attitudes that will prepare him not just for the Reception class but for all future learning. The curriculum is planned through a series of topics which are changed from year to year to reflect the boys' interests. A large proportion of the activities are practical and ‘hands on'.

The Nursery boys are very much part of the wider school community and once settled, join the older pupils for an assembly and other school events such as ‘International Week'. They also have use of the gym, library and outdoor space.The Nursery boys participate in two productions per year; a Christmas play and end of year mini musical/assembly. They also join in with the school's sports days.
