Nursery Field Trip

This week the Nursery boys and many parents as helpers walked to the local Fire Station to find out about the Fire Service. The boys behaved impeccably and listened attentively to the presentation. The highlights were spraying the water and climbing in the fire engine. The day after this the Nursery boys were

visited by a local police officer who talked about how the police are here to help and keep them safe. Children learnt about ‘Stranger Danger’ and understood why police are their friends.

The boys have been taught about the letter/sound ‘L’ and this prompted further learning about the work of the ‘Lollipop Lady’ and how to cross the roads safely. We also made some divine fire engines in the cooking session, now who wouldn’t want to eat them – Yum Yummy!
