Message from the Headmaster:
What a week!!! We have been soldiering on towards the end of the term and I wish I could slow it down. I keep feeling nostalgic every time I see or interact with the Year 2 boys.
Tuesday was a day for drama! I had the absolute pleasure of watching both the Year 1 and Year 2 plays. Each one was unique and executed to an exceptionally high standard. Year 1 preformed a hilarious version of Cinderello, which was written by Mrs Thompson and the music composed by Mr Arnott. I had tears in my eyes as the boys delivered their lines with huge smiles and incredible confidence. Year 2 delivered an out- standing version of Wind in the Willows. This was a very ambitious play for such young boys but Mr Grant and his team rose to the challenge, as did the boys and we were total- ly enthralled for just over an hour. Thank you to all the parents for putting together the fantastic costumes.
Nursery went on their first school trip to Bocketts Farm. This is when parents are invited to accompany their boys on the trip, and is always a favourite. Boys and farm yard animals make a great combination.
Today, we welcomed many young boys into our school for the first time. Our welcome day was a great success and buzzing with energy. All the boys got to spend time in their new class groups and with their new teachers who they will have in September. This is always a very exciting day in our calen- dar. Many of our Year 2 boys were thrilled to be going to the Falcons Prep for their induction day. We also sadly said goodbye to our 6 ducklings.
Next week is our final week, which is not short of events. We have communicated timings and details to you already. I am looking forward to our Prize Giving and Art Exhibition next week, where I hope to see as many of you as possible. Have a lovely weekend and please click HERE to read this week’s newsletter in full.
