Message from the Head:
Although we are marching towards the end of the term, the pace hasn’t slackened! We thoroughly enjoyed the Nursery Nativity on Tuesday. Whoops-A-Daisy Angel has been a long running favourite of mine. The boys managed their lines and songs well. You just never know what to expect from this age group, but that is more than half the fun.
Year 1 had their last swim this week, which is labelled a “fun splash”. This always creates such excitement. The boys were treated to a Christmas pantomime on Thursday afternoon. The energy and excitement generated by these types of events is evident in the way the boys interact with the pantomime team.
Our wonderful PA transformed the hall again this year into a winter wonderland for our Christmas fun day. This is such a special event and enjoyed tremendously by all. Thank you to our tireless PA team. I particularly enjoy the opportunity to wear my Christmas jumper.
Six of our Year 2 boys went over to our Prep for the Year 3 scholarship interviews this week. It was lovely to see them head off on our minibus and come back in the Prep minibus, brimming with excitement and coming to tell me what a wonderful time they had had with Miss Buchanan and her team. We have six boys who have been invited to St Pauls for interviews on Monday. We could not be more proud of what our Year 2 boys are achieving. These twelve boys are just a small snippet of a year group who are constantly shining in every arena they enter. Our Falcons ambassadors are out and about doing themselves, their families and their school proud. I have had phone calls with the heads of Kings Wimbledon, Hampton, Caldicott and Miss Buchanan about our boys and their achievements. It is sometimes hard to believe that they are only 6 turning 7.
