In the blink of an eye, a very busy term has come to a close. This week has been a short one, but the boys have worked hard. We have noted that they have been quite tired as this has been a slightly longer spring term than usual.
With our best ever Year 2 exit results and the Finton House football winner’s trophy in hand, I can say that all in all, it has been a very successful term.
I have had quite an emotional but interesting week, as I have shown quite a few short-listed candidates for the headship around the school. What has been consistent is how proud I am of our school and our Falcons community. I am sure whoever is appointed will soon feel the same way.
Mrs Erte has allowed me to announce her retirement after 23 years’ service to the school. She has decided to become a more involved granny and is looking forward to many new adventures with her family. We will of course have an opportunity to say a decent farewell to Mrs Erte towards the end of the summer term. The end of an era!
Miss Bonnett will return from her maternity leave so there will be no need, at this time, to recruit a new teaching assistant.
The boys thoroughly enjoyed their Easter chick hunt today after our final celebration assembly. Thank you to the PA for hiding the chicks. Something so simple but yet so fun!
We have set optional holiday homework for each year group. We have not told the boys it is optional, so you have the choice of whether or not they complete it.
If I did not get to see you this week, I hope you have a wonderful Easter break with your boys.
