The weather this week has really come up trumps! The sun has been shining and we have been able to make excellent use of our fantastic outdoor facilities. Whenever the sun shines, everyone’s mood is greatly enhanced. Our outdoor space has really come alive with activity and we have also been taking the boys over to the park at Harvard Hill. The equipment there is perfect for little boys, as it will really work on and improve their muscle tone and core stability.
We welcomed The Falcons Girls Early Years department to our school on Wednesday. It was wonderful to have little girls in the school and I had to smile at how our boys reacted to them. They too, thoroughly enjoyed our playground, outdoor space and our pocket-sized chicks.
We waved Year 2 off to Lodge Hill on Thursday morning. I have to say that I felt left out, as I usually go on this trip but I was told by Mrs Thomson that I needed to remain in school to hold the fort! The boys loved this trip and I was able to follow them closely on Twitter. Getting boys out into the wilderness, taking them out of their comfort zones is simply fantastic. When they got back today, they were thoroughly exhausted.
You should all have received an email asking you to take part in our parent survey. Please do take the time to complete it, we find these surveys incredibly insightful and worthwhile. And don’t forget your son also gets 3 house points if you complete it!
With one week to go until half term, next week is jam packed and then we start the downhill sprint to the end of the academic year. If I did not get to see you this week, have a fantastic weekend.
