PE

The aims and objectives of the P. E. department are to promote the importance of health and fitness through participation in physical activity; to acquire knowledge, skills and understanding in a variety of activities suitable for the age, ability and experience of the pupils. In addition to this, we aim to help pupils develop moral, social and cultural awareness, as well as helping to promote key skills such as communication, working with others and problem solving. These skills will hopefully embed an attitude that will enable boys to enjoy the benefits of sport throughout their lives. Boys in Year 3 benefit from two PE lessons a week with the remainder of the school having one per week. All PE lessons take place on site, either using the schools astroturf pitches or the gymnasium.
